Snapchat shows "Could not refresh. Please try again" when it can't reach its servers, and snaps can get stuck on "Sending" or show "Failed to send". It could be a Snapchat outage, but more often it's your connection or the app.

Fixes to try
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Close Snapchat fully and reopen it.
- Update Snapchat from the App Store or Google Play.
- Clear Snapchat's cache: in Snapchat, tap your profile, the settings cog, then Clear Cache. Your snaps, memories and chats aren't deleted.
- Turn off your VPN and Low Data Mode.
- Restart your phone.
- Resend failed snaps by tapping them in the chat once you're connected again.
Questions
Why does Snapchat say could not refresh?
Snapchat can't reach its servers, either because Snapchat is down or because your connection is weak or blocked.
Does clearing Snapchat cache delete memories?
No. Clearing the cache removes temporary files only. Memories, chats and friends are stored on Snapchat's servers.
