What we collect
When you report a problem, we store the service name, the type of problem, the time and your country (worked out by our hosting provider from your connection; never your city or address). To stop the same person reporting many times, we also store a one-way hashed code made from your IP address, a secret value and the date. We do not store your IP address itself, and the code can't be turned back into it.
When you use "check any website", we check the address you entered. We do not link it to you.
Cookies and advertising
This site is funded by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Hosting and analytics
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count page views. Fonts and logos are served from our own domain.
Retention
Problem reports and check results are deleted automatically after 7 days.
