What to do if Reddit is not working
- Pull down to refresh, then fully close and reopen the Reddit app.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If Reddit works on one but not the other, the problem is your network, not Reddit.
- Try Reddit in a web browser. If the website works but the app does not, update the app from your app store.
- Log out and back in only as a last resort: during an outage, logins often fail and you can get stuck signed out.
- Clear the app cache (Android: Settings → Apps → Reddit → Storage) or reinstall the app on iPhone.
- If posts or uploads fail, wait a few minutes before retrying so you don't create duplicates.

Is Reddit down for everyone, or just me?

We connect to reddit.com directly from our servers, so if our check works but Reddit doesn't work for you, the problem is more likely your device, network or account. If our check fails, or reports have jumped in the last hour, Reddit is probably having a wider outage.
Why does this page say Reddit is up when it isn't working for me?
Our check confirms that reddit.com is reachable and responding. An outage can still affect only part of Reddit, such as logging in, the mobile app or a single feature, or only some regions. That's why visitor reports matter: when many people report problems at once, we flag Reddit as having problems even if the website loads.
