What to do if Lyft is not working
- Before re-ordering or re-booking, check your email and bank activity. The first attempt may have gone through.
- Turn location services on and set them to precise location for Lyft. Many ride and delivery features need it.
- Update the Lyft app and restart your phone if the map or tracking stops moving.
- For flights, check the airline's text or email alerts and the airport's departure boards. They often update even when the app is down.
- Use the Lyft website if the app fails, or the other way round.
- If you were charged for an order that failed, contact Lyft support in the app's help section once service is back.

We connect to lyft.com directly from our servers, so if our check works but Lyft doesn't work for you, the problem is more likely your device, network or account. If our check fails, or reports have jumped in the last hour, Lyft is probably having a wider outage.
Why does this page say Lyft is up when it isn't working for me?
Our check confirms that lyft.com is reachable and responding. An outage can still affect only part of Lyft, such as logging in, the mobile app or a single feature, or only some regions. That's why visitor reports matter: when many people report problems at once, we flag Lyft as having problems even if the website loads.
