We check USPS from our servers and combine it with problem reports from visitors.
USPS problem reports, last 24 hours
Reports from visitors per hour, in your local time. When reports rise well above the usual level, USPS is probably having problems.

Each bar is one hour. Green: every check reached usps.com. Amber: some failed. Red: all failed. Grey: not checked that hour.
What to do if USPS is not working
- Before re-ordering or re-booking, check your email and bank activity. The first attempt may have gone through.
- Turn location services on and set them to precise location for USPS. Many ride and delivery features need it.
- Update the USPS app and restart your phone if the map or tracking stops moving.
- For flights, check the airline's text or email alerts and the airport's departure boards. They often update even when the app is down.
- Use the USPS website if the app fails, or the other way round.
- If you were charged for an order that failed, contact USPS support in the app's help section once service is back.
USPS outage FAQ
Is USPS down for everyone, or just me?
Look at the status at the top of this page. We connect to usps.com directly from our servers, so if our check works but USPS doesn't work for you, the problem is more likely your device, network or account. If our check fails, or reports have jumped in the last hour, USPS is probably having a wider outage.
Why does this page say USPS is up when it isn't working for me?
Our check confirms that usps.com is reachable and responding. An outage can still affect only part of USPS, such as logging in, the mobile app or a single feature, or only some regions. That's why visitor reports matter: when many people report problems at once, we flag USPS as having problems even if the website loads.
How often do you check USPS?
We check USPS automatically several times a day, and again whenever someone opens this page and our last check is more than a few minutes old.
How do I report a USPS outage?
Use "Report a problem" on this page to tell us what isn't working. Reports are anonymous: we don't store your IP address, only a one-way code that stops the same person reporting many times, plus your country.
