What to do if Kahoot! is not working
- Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) to bypass cached errors.
- Try Kahoot! in a private window to rule out extensions and stale cookies.
- If you're on a school or work network, a filter or firewall may be blocking Kahoot!. Try another network.
- Check whether Kahoot! is down only in your region by trying it on mobile data.
- For assignment or exam platforms, screenshot any errors with the time showing. Instructors often accept them as proof of an outage.
- Change your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 if Kahoot! fails to load but other sites work.

Is Kahoot! down for everyone, or just me?
Look at the status at the top of this page. We connect to kahoot.com directly from our servers, so if our check works but Kahoot! doesn't work for you, the problem is more likely your device, network or account. If our check fails, or reports have jumped in the last hour, Kahoot! is probably having a wider outage.
Why does this page say Kahoot! is up when it isn't working for me?
Our check confirms that kahoot.com is reachable and responding. An outage can still affect only part of Kahoot!, such as logging in, the mobile app or a single feature, or only some regions. That's why visitor reports matter: when many people report problems at once, we flag Kahoot! as having problems even if the website loads.
