We check Fitbit from our servers and combine it with problem reports from visitors.
Fitbit problem reports, last 24 hours
Reports from visitors per hour, in your local time. When reports rise well above the usual level, Fitbit is probably having problems.

What to do if Fitbit is not working
- Restart the Fitbit app and your phone, then check whether the problem is in the app or the device.
- For smart-home devices, power-cycle the device and your router. Most go offline when Wi-Fi drops.
- Make sure Bluetooth and location permissions are on for Fitbit. Device syncing often depends on them.
- Don't factory-reset devices during an outage. You may have to set everything up again once Fitbit is back.
- Check whether the Fitbit app has an update. Old versions often stop syncing after server-side changes.
- If messages or matches aren't loading, log out and back in only after confirming Fitbit is up.
Fitbit outage FAQ
Is Fitbit down for everyone, or just me?
Look at the status at the top of this page. We connect to fitbit.com directly from our servers, so if our check works but Fitbit doesn't work for you, the problem is more likely your device, network or account. If our check fails, or reports have jumped in the last hour, Fitbit is probably having a wider outage.
Why does this page say Fitbit is up when it isn't working for me?
Our check confirms that fitbit.com is reachable and responding. An outage can still affect only part of Fitbit, such as logging in, the mobile app or a single feature, or only some regions. That's why visitor reports matter: when many people report problems at once, we flag Fitbit as having problems even if the website loads.
How often do you check Fitbit?
We check Fitbit automatically several times a day, and again whenever someone opens this page and our last check is more than a few minutes old.
How do I report a Fitbit outage?
Use "Report a problem" on this page to tell us what isn't working. Reports are anonymous: we don't store your IP address, only a one-way code that stops the same person reporting many times, plus your country.
