What to do if Google Meet is not working
- Check whether messages show a pending or clock icon: that means Google Meet can't reach its servers from your device.
- Toggle airplane mode on and off to force a fresh network connection, then reopen Google Meet.
- Make sure Google Meet is allowed to use background data and isn't restricted by battery saver.
- For calls, close other apps using the camera or microphone and check Google Meet has permission to use them.
- Try the desktop or web version of Google Meet. If it works there, update or reinstall the mobile app.
- If notifications stopped, check your phone's Focus / Do Not Disturb settings and Google Meet's notification settings.

Is Google Meet down for everyone, or just me?

We connect to meet.google.com directly from our servers, so if our check works but Google Meet doesn't work for you, the problem is more likely your device, network or account. If our check fails, or reports have jumped in the last hour, Google Meet is probably having a wider outage.
Why does this page say Google Meet is up when it isn't working for me?
Our check confirms that meet.google.com is reachable and responding. An outage can still affect only part of Google Meet, such as logging in, the mobile app or a single feature, or only some regions. That's why visitor reports matter: when many people report problems at once, we flag Google Meet as having problems even if the website loads.
